The Hisun Sector Beast Pick-up UTV rear view

The NEW Flatbed Electric Pick-up Style UTV

Is there nothing Martin can’t do? It seems not! Ex-RAF engineering Warrant Officer Martin has once again been working his magic, this time modifying and handcrafting our very own electric pick-up utility vehicle to add to the fleet.

We’ve been praised by many for our level of service and especially how we listen to the needs of our customers. Described once as being ‘like magicians’, we work hard to always source the best machine for the job.

For example, when customers told us they needed a slim and agile electric UTV, we introduced The Nipper. When our hire customers discussed the need for more seating in their electric golf buggies, we introduced The Rider 8 and 11 seater. But when there is no vehicle to meet the needs of the customer, what do we do?

We make one!

The latest request, and one which we’ve been asked on more than one occasion, was for an electric UTV with a larger load area and bigger payload capacity. To date there has been no electric pick-up style electric utility vehicle available. That is until now. We’ve created a prototype.

Managing Director, Will Hinks explains: “For such strength and power, the best vehicle for the job was The Beast. The prototype we’ve built is based on the four seater version. We’ve removed the rear two seats and created a much longer load area stretching from the back of the front seats to the rear of the vehicle. We’ve also included drop down sides for easier access.”

Will continues: “Designed and handcrafted by Martin, he’s used British-made steel to create the frame. The flat-bed is now 1.5m x 1.8m, which creates a massive new capacity.”

For context, such space will make it more than capable to load a full-size hay bale, six foot fence posts or even a large deer from a hunting expedition. Load capacity is an impressive 1 tonne with matching towing weight.

The prototype will be with us on our stand at upcoming exhibitions, Cereals on the 13th and 14th June at Thoresby Estate, Nottinghamshire, and at Groundswell on the 28th and 29th June at Lannock Manor Farm, Hertfordshire. Come take a look and see what you think. If the interest is there for the masses, who knows, they might go into production.
