Fully charged & Expanding at Record Speed

It’s been a year for only positive change here at Electric Wheels, with new electric UTVs, record sales and continued nationwide expansion, we’re fully charged for 2023.

Never a business to rest on its laurels, the Electric Wheels team is at it again. Smashing the sales targets and expanding at record speed; and it’s all thanks to the team’s hard work, the ability to adapt and of course its loyal customers!

UTV Record Sales

“Our figures for this year have far surpassed the original projections. We’re 400% up on last year and expecting – all being well – for next year to deliver even more growth. In fact, our projections show that we’ll potentially double turnover again by the end of our next financial year,” says MD, Chris Hurdle.

“This is such great news, not just for the business but also for our growing team. There’s so much negativity relating to the economy, it’s a relief to us that we can all feel secure during these uncertain times. Without the engineers, operations, logistics, accounts and sales and marketing members, we wouldn’t be able to run such a well-oiled ship,” adds Chris.

Doubling the Electric Wheels Team

This past year, the Electric Wheels team has doubled. Now with some twenty staff members, the business is once again outgrowing its current space. The office-based staff will be moving into new offices at the Neaton Business Park in Watton which should be ready in time for the new year.

“It’s like it was meant to be,” says Chris. “The offices at the front of the building have become available at the right time. The bonus being that we can knock through to link the warehouse with the office area.”

The move leaves more space in the warehouse for the engineering team and all-important stock. “Stock levels are usually pretty high so we’re always needing space,” adds Chris. The vehicles are often already allocated to customers before they arrive in the warehouse to be built. “”We have a great system for maintaining our stocks levels to meet the growing demand, something which has massively aided our growth. This is an area which has proved troublesome for other UTV suppliers.”

Nationwide Electric UTV Sales Expansion

“As a business originally serving the East of England, we’ve been surprised by just how far our customers travel for their electric utility task vehicles,” Chris says. “As we offer delivery, we’ve been able to meet the demand, but regular visits from one side of the country to the other haven’t made business sense or met with our environmental ambitions.”

Chris continues: “Therefore expanding to be able to serve the regions in need of a local supplier has been a top priority. We now have the first Electric Wheels’ partners in place, reducing unnecessary travel and improving the convenience of purchase. This means that it’s much easier to deal with enquiries from elsewhere in the country and arrange demos.”

The business is now working in partnership with agents AC1 Customs in Bridgwater in Somerset, Off-Road Electric in Oxfordshire, JLC Group in Southeast England and a sales support team in the West Midlands. News of additional agents will follow in the new year.
