We’re really pleased to announce that our relationship with New Zealand supplier UBCO has moved up a gear! We are now UBCO’s official Norfolk dealer, supplying the region with its energy efficient 2×2 electric utility bikes.
UBCO’s Norfolk Dealer
Over the past few months UBCO has expanded its already successful electric bike business across the pond and into Europe. This has included setting up its UK HQ in Ayr under the guidance of importer and distributor John Yuille.
The structured new expansion into Europe will mean UBCO can extend its reach even further through a network of regional dealerships. This will enhance the global brand, customer and dealer relations and ensure a continued smooth ride within the supply chain. All of UBCO’s carefully selected brand ambassadors have exceptional passion for electric and strong customer service roots.
John Yuille commented on the new partnership: “When we were initially looking to bring UBCO retail to the UK we knew instantly we wanted Electric Wheels involved. They already had history with the UBCO brand and bikes in stock ready to hire. By becoming an UBCO dealership, Chris and his great team have the experience and technical know-how to offer our customers a superior level of service! NEW UBCO 2×2 Adventure Bikes Now Available
Adding to the alliance, we have just taken delivery of UBCO’s brand new 2×2 Adventure electric bike.
The new demonstrator is available to test drive at our Norfolk dealership in Watton. In line with Government Covid-19 guidelines of course. We’ll be sharing more about the official launch later this month along with the news of our second UBCO delivery which is imminent.
The UBCO Partnership
Our relationship with UBCO, began in 2016 after Managing Director, Chris Hurdle visited New Zealand and was wowed by the unique all-terrain utility bikes.
The bike first caught Chris’s eye through the window of an Auckland bike shop. Chris later returned to New Zealand having researched the capabilities of the electric off-roader. The first purchase was trialled at the Hampton Court Flower Show. Chris mentioned at the time that ‘everywhere the bike went, heads turned, and people wanted to borrow it’.
Early in 2019, the first shipment of the UBCO 2×2 bikes arrived at the unit in Norfolk, UK. Since then the relationship has moved on to an important partnership between both Electric Wheels and UBCO. One where both parties share an all-important end goal. Helping businesses and individuals embark on their own electric journeys!
